The maximum speed
As soon as you pass the blue sign with the white house (and playing child), you are in a residential area. The maximum speed here is legally set at 15 km/h (walking pace). You are a guest here among pedestrians and playing children.
Rules for parking
Parking in a residential area is strictly regulated. You may only park in the designated and marked parking spaces (often indicated with a "P" tile). Parking outside the spaces is not allowed.
Priority in the residential area
Within a residential area, the normal priority rules at intersections basically apply: drivers from the right have priority. Pay attention when entering and leaving the residential area: this happens via a driveway construction, meaning you (when exiting) must yield to all other traffic (including pedestrians).
