The transition to 50 questions

As of now, the CBR car theory exam no longer consists of 65 questions, but has been reduced to 50 core questions. This means that every question carries more weight. You will get questions that focus on traffic rules, insight, and vehicle knowledge.

No more separate hazard perception

A huge relief for many: the notorious hazard perception (brake, release accelerator, do nothing in 8 seconds) has been removed as a separate section. The focus is now more integrated into the theory and insight questions. You still need to be able to assess situations safely, but the separate 8-second time pressure is gone.

How many mistakes are you allowed to make?

With the new 50-question exam, you are generally allowed a very limited number of mistakes to pass. The CBR places more emphasis on general traffic insight and the most modern traffic rules (such as ADAS and EV knowledge).
